The idea of poets and angels taking to a ballroom floor at midnight and whirling to the music of the celestial spheres is my metaphorical way of highlighting the need to avoid becoming overwhelmed by non-stop overdramatized reports from the news media. Call it meditation, me-time, unplugging, or whatever you choose, but it’s as crucial to surviving today’s environments of information overload as wearing face masks has become to ridding ourselves of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It would NOT be wrong to describe “Midnight Waltz of the Poets and Angels” as an abstract dreamscape but I’m more inclined to think of it as spiritual surrealism, or maybe a surrealscape, in the Silk-Featherbrush Artstyle mode. At the bottom forefront of the artwork is a circle of red, yellow, white, brown, blue, red, and violet featherbot figures. These stand on one side of a horizonal blue divide while on the other are both smaller and larger red, blue, green, and gold featherbots. The glowing blue line for some represents a meeting point while for others it represents division. The Midnight Waltz provides an opportunity to overcome antagonisms prompted by surface differences and enjoy moments of shared harmonious intentions.
