“Traveling with the Angel Number 5” is part of a series included in a special project which got underway shortly after the COVID-19 pandemic forced economies around the world to start shutting down earlier this year. The project explores the different kinds alliances and adjustments people had to make in order to cope with a threat greater than anything most of the present generations have ever seen. Pettiness had (and still has) to be set aside to make it through the pandemic.
For some, “Traveling with the Angel” came to mean evoking the angels of our better human nature. For others, it meant digging deeper and holding on tighter to personal spiritual or philosophical convictions. And for yet more still, it simply meant identifying and grabbing every life-sustaining resource in sight.
The project from which this artwork is excerpted has not been publicly announced yet. I decided to make it available in different in the formats of wall prints, cards, & duvet covers for the 2020 holiday season because too many distractions have prevented me from making headway on the work I previously planned on posting. There are presently 8 other canvases in the “Traveling with the Angel” series and 1 more, for a total of 10, is planned for the project I am hoping to debut in spring 2021.
