Description
Unlike my previous series works, the Cultural Literacy for Lovers and Dreamers Number 1 and 2 prints are not visual variations of one another. They communicate the same social awareness themes but employ completely different color schemes and symbolism.
Therefore, a buyer may enjoy purchasing them either as a pair or, if preferred, acquiring only the one they feel strongest about without feeling like piece of a puzzle is missing.
Like Cultural Literacy for Lovers and Dreamers Number 1, Number 2 is a painted allegory on humanity's struggle to align itself with the common threads of our shared qualities & needs. To do that, we need to at least take time to try to understand one another; therefore, we see in this work circles both inside and outside each other. Balance and imbalance. Implications of chaos and implications of beauty.
One key to resolving the upheavals we're all experiencing at this time in history might reside within what is represented by the chromatic globe in the lower center of the print. But determining exactly what that is might be something I should leave up to individual viewers' perceptions and interpretations.

Much gratitude for the comments Alex, Carol, and Jack. I'm currently considering a second version of this image so will have to see how it goes.

This one really speaks to me -- the tension of order and disorder, the sense of a swirling periphery around a more substantial core of what we share. Beautifully done!
