Description
This collectible poster features a collage of creative visual and media elements. They include a stylized version of the book cover for the limited first edition of Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah set against an original impressionistic interpretation of an area on the city's famous River Street. At the top of the poster is a question which poses one of the book's most compelling considerations: What would your life mean if you were living someone else's dream of what it should be?
At first thought, that question might sound awkward. Where Savannah and many other urban centers in America (and possibly the rest of the world as well) are concerned, it's about coming to terms with how we share power and responsibilities in these rapidly-changing times of ours. Anyone who doubts how important it is to maintain such a dialogue need only check out American women's responses to the near-total-without-exception bans on abortion laws passed by half a dozen states.
If this book poster speaks at all to the pressing social issues and spiritual angst at hand, it asserts that there is beauty in the process of gaining a better understanding of each other's dreams before attempting to force upon someone a reality they do not desire for themselves.
