What is it about Vincent Van Gogh (1853-1890) that captures the hearts of creative artists all over the world? I think it must have something to do with the depth of his determination to document something definitively transcendent in his art and life. I have found myself reflecting on his story repeatedly over the past 2 years and as a result produced several works inspired by him. “Another Starry Starry Vincent Van Gogh Social Distance Night Number 1” is my humble 2020 homage to his classic paintings: “The Starry Night Over the Rhone” (1888) and “Starry Starry Night” (1889).

I was born and raised in the southeastern United States, then spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Much of story is told in recent book releases like Greeting Flannery OConnor at the Back Door of My Mind and Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah. Artwork by me is featured on the cover of both books.
