This is the second image with text featuring a quote from Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah, a book combining literary memoir with and art and photography. The first image-and-text artwork featuring a quote from the book and posted on Fine Art America/Pixels.com was "Owens-Thomas House in Savannah, Georgia Number 2."
The quote used here comes from the title story in which I document a number of unexpected revelations while editing the Civil War Savannah book series. The contrast of multi-hued text against a black and white background image of the Forsyth Park Fountain in Savannah is an intentional one to dramatize the racial oppressiveness of the city's past with its current quest for inclusive cultural harmony.
