The winged horse Pegasus and the Golden Eagle are two of our most powerful symbols from mythology and nature. The beauty of both have been known to inspire courage and hopefulness during times of personal crisis or chaotic upheavals in the world.
My goal creating this mixed media work was to produce a dynamic image that looked like a painted frieze or relief combined with an oil canvas and partially painted surface. The hope is that viewers experience a multidimensional effect that reinforces a sense of beautiful possibilities.

The quote above is from a poem about Christmas, but when you think about all the disorder and instability currently shaking up world communities it fits well.

I was born and raised in the southeastern United States, then spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Much of story is told in recent book releases like Greeting Flannery OConnor at the Back Door of My Mind and Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah.
