Two months ago I was videoed in the Historic District of Savannah, Georgia (USA) on a street where the house I was born in used to stand. For the video, I talked about what the loss meant in terms of historical erasure which could be applied to my life story and that of a quite a few African-African cultural creative artists from Savannah. However, in contrast to many today, I was at least able grow up in other locations within my hometown. Millions around the globe today would consider that a luxury.
The ongoing displacement of entire communities due to climate change and war stands among the difficult challenges facing young environmental and socially conscientious activists today. Ripple effects in the form of conflicts over immigration have been felt everywhere. Somehow, despite fear and uncertainty, what often wins the day are acts of courage and compassion. The young activists and advocates who are doing their best to help eliminate the kinds of destructive human activiti...
I was born and raised in the southeastern United States, then spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Much of story is told in recent book releases like Greeting Flannery OConnor at the Back Door of My Mind and Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah. Artwork by me is featured on the cover of both books. My last 4 public exhibits were at the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport Art Gallery in Savannah, Georgia, USA, and during a cultural arts event in the historic Lafayette Square in the same city. I am currently completing an artbook project on different challenge which humanity has been facing in the 2020s, with text contributions from writers around the world. My...

Thank you LaVonne for the inspiring comments & for checking out "We Grow Wherever Life Plants Us." I've been blessed in my life to communicate with many spiritually-gifted people who have shared wonderful insights & inspiration with me. I used to write a column on spiritual traditions and often encouraged people to anchor themselves in a love-based faith to help make their way through life. It did not have to be my individual faith but whatever allowed them to sustain peace within themselves and with others. Off now to spend some time in your gallery.

Did you know the scriptures say …God will bring to ruin those ruining the earth… in Revelation. That was written around 2000 years ago. It also promises that the earth will be restored My faith and trust gives me strength dearest friends to face these difficult times

Didn't realize how timely this artwork was until writing the description for it when I heard meteorologists say the hottest days on record occurred this week. Thought it felt like triple digits heating up the country but now I know it wasn't just me.
