I started creating images of the Flight Fountain angel last year and this is the fourth one presented here at Fine Art America. When working on the first art prints and digital paintings, I was unable to find out the name of the angel sculpture on top of the fountain, located at the Savannah Hilton Head International Airport in Savannah, Georgia, or the person who sculpted it. Since then, I have returned to the airport while picking up work featured in an art exhibit there and discovered on the fountain a sign which read: FLIGHT, JULY 28, 1994, Dan Davidson. So the mystery was solved, but at the same time the environment’s architectural pattern inspired me to attempt this mixed sepia with black and white print. Below is a list of the other Airport Angels with links to their pages at my Bright Skylark Literary Productions site and here on FAA:UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTERS OF THE ANGELIC KINDhttps://www.author-poet-aberjhani.info/blog-visionary-vibes/unexpected-encounters-of-the-angelic-kind M...
After being born and raised in the southeastern United States, I spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Much of that story is told in my recent book releases, Greeting Flannery OConnor at the Back Door of My Mind and Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah. Artwork by me is featured on the cover of both books.
My last 3 public exhibits were at the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport Art Gallery in Savannah, Georgia, USA, and during a cultural arts event in the historic Lafayette Square in the same city. I am currently completing an artbook project on the COVID-19 pandemic with text contributions from writers around the world.
