Silk-Featherbrush Number 2: Two Redbirds of a Feather Cozy Together The Redbird Series, currently consisting of six images posted online and a number of others reserved for different venues, events, and commissions offline, has become an essential one in my overall catalogue. For that reason, it is important that any stylistic changes I make be able to accommodate the series. With the completion of "Two Redbirds of a Feather Cozy Together," the Silk-Featherbrush approach proved it could not only accommodate Redbird but welcome a special friend as well. In addition to being part of the Redbird series, this is the second artwork in the online Silk-Featherbrush Collection. The difference between this and the first canvas, "Rhapsody in the Key of Joy and Mystery" is very obvious. But both utilize as part of the overall process a dense mesh of fine lines with alternating streaks of thinner or single lines. I stress the phrase 'part of the overall process' because, as with all techniques...
About Aberjhani
After being born and raised in the southeastern United States, I spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Much of that story is told in my recent book releases, Greeting Flannery OConnor at the Back Door of My Mind and Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah. Artwork by me is featured on the cover of both books. My last 3 public exhibits were at the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport Art Gallery in Savannah, Georgia, USA, and during a cultural arts event in the historic Lafayette Square in the same city.
