Commonly referred to as the Savannah Bridge, the Eugene Talmadge Memorial Bridge was named after a former governor of Georgia. The name is an extremely controversial one because although rightly lauded for his labors on behalf of many, Talmadge was also known to have been an unapologetic white supremacist. Various campaigns to have the name changed have failed but various advocates of diversity and multiculturalism continue to encourage awareness and change. The photographic image seen here was taken Oct 8, 2016, the morning after Hurricane Matthew swept through the area. The seagull silhouetted near center foreground atop a post held still just long enough for this shot be taken and then flew off. After being born and raised in the southeastern United States, I spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Much of that story is told in my recent book releases, Greeting Flannery OConnor at the Back Door of My Mind and Dreams of the Immortal City Savannah. I appreciate your thoughtful comments very much Tejsweena. Thank you for checking out Savannah River Bridge the Morning after Hurricane Matthew No. 2.

The design of the bridge really reflects the concept of archaeological centre of deep thought that how life connects, like if no trees around then can make pyramid (Egypt),and if only having buildings around then it can only be an arch of reaching from one to another building! And, such very way a hurricane takes place inside when see little sweet bird making still prayer for everyone! Such very deep creation, it is dear friend! :)
