Artist's Description
“My soul is from elsewhere, I'm sure of that, and I intend to end up there.”
--Jalaluddin Rumi (from poem “Who Says Words with My Mouth” published in NIGHT & SKY versions by Coleman Barks & Robert Bly)
“XI. This rose of pearl-coated infinity transforms
the diseased slums of a broken heart
into a palace made of psalms and gold.”
--From poem “Gratitudes of a Dozen Roses (published in VISIONS OF A SKYLARK DRESSED IN BLACK by Aberjhani)
“Palace of Psalms and Gold for the 500 Thousand Fallen and Those Who Loved Them” is the second in the 500K Fallen and Those Who Love Them Series. The first is “Wreath of Grace and Hope” and third is titled “”Made It Home Again.” With this second piece, I wanted to convey a sense of meaning beyond the overwhelming pain which so many are currently enduring even as some others begin to experience relief due to life-saving COVID-19 vaccines.

I am currently completing an artbook project on different challenge which humanity has been facing in the 2020s, with text contributions from writers around the world. My...

Thank you tremendously Tejsweena. Your mention of "1000 Splendid Suns" makes me think I should probably take a closer look at Khaled Hosseini's novel. Always appreciate your inspired comments as I do your exceptional visual creations. Which I plan to enjoy visiting again very soon.
Tejsweena Krishan
This extremely elegant creation of yours surely created with all your heart and soul for wishing Motherland smiling ( a wish to be granted) in glory is actually taking me straight to the novel '1000 Splendid Suns' as that made me learn many years ago of what shall I be working for that given me wings to my purpose of making our Motherland set free from any nefarious in any form, so can the children like us who believes in religion Understandings so can bring the Life of green even in arid to be happily delivering Life on door steps by going home to home to make all aware to go against wrong in anyway fearlessly! Yes, the theory of it's started by someone once while making millions saved with scarifying self, and it was that someone's own decision that made that soul intentionally portraying wrong character among love ones, so the family could live happily and not in pain after a fine point! And my generous friend that's how magical your so genuine creations are! :)
