As the title suggests, this is the second of 2 versions. The first noticeable difference between the two is the selective sapphire blue with black and white palette seen here in contrast to the strictly B&W in the first. Also, the collage pattern is different here with various visual elements receiving greater emphasis, some omitted altogether, and new ones added as well. Of particular note in this one is my effort to portray the subject as crowned or blessed by the grace of her talents. A LITTLE BACKGROUND: Nina Simone (1933- 2003, born Eunice Kathleen Waymon) was one of the most influential musical artists of her generation and remains one of the most admired and inspiring today. She was a superb pianist and virtuoso singer of jazz, blues, pop, gospel, and traditional African-American folk songs.
