“Uncertainty” and “Unprecedented” have been 2 of the most frequently-used words in the English language throughout the year 2020 presidential election campaign in the United States of America. Although the campaign is now over with President-Elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. and Vice President-Elect Kamala D. Harris having been declared victors on Nov 7, 2020, the words remain powerful and relevant. It’s not hard to understand why. Polarizing issues surrounding racial inequality, the so-called wealth gap, and the killer beast known as the COVID-19 pandemic have caused increasingly deeper social divisions in the U.S.
The colors, shadows, and long stretch of polychromatic path depicted in “Cautiously Crossing the Bridge of Blue and Red Uncertainty” give some clue to the work which lies ahead.
