Artist's Description
“Blackness as Taught by My Father” is a mixed media painting which incorporates texts from 3 poems, signs carried by protesters around the world in the year 2020, and a digital monochrome painting of Martin Luther King Jr. addressing social justice advocates during the 1960s Civil Rights Movement. This was a historical moment when engaged citizenship changed the world for the better. It also makes good wall art for homes, offices, and dorm rooms. Below are the 3 poetry quotes used in the painting:
“I know blackness as taught by my father:
‘You are my joy and my genius,’ he often said.
I know blackness as taught by my mother:

About Aberjhani

I was born and raised in the southeastern United States, then spent many years, while pursuing my education and serving in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around America and the world. Even I am the fan of Nobel man King Martin Luther keeping the humankind safe from anything possible while raising voice against inequality of any kind, as the oxygen reaches to all without failure and discrimination, and besides whose carbon-dioxide is converting to oxygen whose breathing whose can never be an issue emotionally or technically or in anyway that unites all already like gravitational force, and similar! Such brilliant creation my friend! Be happily blessed always! :)
