Kaleidoscopes have fascinated and entertained people for decades because of their ability to assume different patterns and color schemes while retaining a basic accessible form. That capacity is something we humans find ourselves developing more and more as communities and work environments across the globe grow increasingly diverse. Big changes tend to make a lot of people nervous but through its shifting shapes, shapes, colors, and perspectives, the kaleidoscope teaches us that change does not have to be defined by fear or rage. It can mean not only holding on to what is best about humanity, but making what is best even better and stronger. Aberjhani January 2019
