Artwork by Aberjhani along with books by him will be available for purchase as part of his participation in Local Author Day on March 24, 2024, in Lafayette Square in the city of Savannah, Georgia (USA). Much of the artwork on display for the event will reflect themes explored in his books on Savannah.
Kwanzaa is a week-long period of observance, established in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karengam during which African Americans and people throughout the African diaspora meditate daily on a specific principle beginning the day after Christmas. The 7 principles, using Kiswahili words often combined with the English translation, are as follows: umoja/unity, kujichagulia/self-determination, ujima/collective work and responsibility, ujamaa/cooperative economics, nia/purpose, kuumba/creativity, and Imani/faith.
